Descriere
\nNearly 100 years after the first attempt to establish an English colony on\n \nRoanoke Island, the Native villages and settlements on Hatteras remained\n \nintact. The Hatorask and Croatoan people were still living independently\n \nalongside the ever-encroaching English invaders.\n \n1681, England: Wrongly accused of witchcraft in England and branded\n \nwith a W, a young healer is imprisoned and transported to the colony\n \nof Carolina to be a tobacco planter's wife and servant. A fateful accident\n \nin the rough waters off Hatteras Island bring her to a different land and a\n \nvery different man, and a life in a Native American village near present day\n \nAvon, once known as Kinnakeet.\n \n1681, Kinnakeet, Hatteras Island: Even though the English have been\n \nspreading throughout the Carolina Colony, young Hatorask chieftain, \n \nKinnahawk, has kept his people and his island village as separate as possible\n \nin the rapidly changing world that was colonial America. As a boy, it\n \nwas foretold he would marry a woman marked with the sign of the White\n \nBrant. He did not count on his destiny being a White Witch.\n
